Passport Funds

TRS' Passport Funds are a family of diverse investment choices to help you on the journey of a lifetime. Learn more about the funds below and in our Fund Profiles booklet.

TRS members can invest in the Passport Funds by participating in TRS' Tax-Deferred Annuity (TDA) Program. The TDA Program is a supplemental retirement plan known as a Section 403(b) plan, which enables participants to save additional money for their retirement on a tax-deferred basis. TDA participants may invest in any combination of the Passport Funds.

The Passport Funds are also available to Tier I and II members to invest their accumulations in the Qualified Pension Plan (QPP). The QPP is the Section 401(a) plan that provides members with their retirement allowance.

NEW! Starting in January 2020, two new Passport Funds will be available: the U.S. Equity Index Fund and the International Equity Index Fund. Also, the Inflation Protection Fund will be discontinued as of April 1, 2020. Please see the Fall 2019 In-Service News or Benefits Report newsletters for details.
